we are
| The Preschool Mother's
Club of St. Luke was founded to provide mothers of preschool age children
(birth to 5 years) a way to get acquainted, build support networks, and
strengthen themselves and their children socially, intellectually, and
spiritually. In doing so, they would be able to provide a nurturing
and positive environment for their children... and we've done just that!
PSMC sponsors a wide-variety of events and activities that help parents
and preschooler grow and learn. Our Club is run entirely by volunteer parents
who give their time to make PSMC such a great success. |

Membership
| Membership is NOT required in
order to attend playgroups. |
| Membership to PSMC is open to
all parents, grandparents and guardians of children between
the ages of 0 and 5, and IS NOT limited to parishioners of
St. Luke, unless they plan on holding office at any point as
president or vice-president. There are all sorts of events,
field trips, and parties that make being a member of PSMC a great
idea. The cost for a yearly membership is $30, regardless of the
number of preschool children in your family! Parties are held only for
members that include fun games, prizes, and food. Members also have the
added benefit of bringing guests to regular meetings and family events,
although children of guests cannot attend monthly parties. |
| Associate memberships are also
available. These are for mothers/guardians who will not be attending the
monthly parties, or whose youngest child is older than 5 years, but would
still like to participate in activities like field trips. The cost for
associate memberships is $12.50 annually. |
Playgroup
| PSMC sponsors a great playgroup
for preschoolers throughout the school year! The play date begins
with free play - sharing toys and making beautiful things out of
playdough. Then, it's time to sing songs and finger play. Our members take
turns bringing a snack and juice which the children really enjoy! When
we're all done with snack, it's time to make a craft. As you
can see, there's lots of fun and learning to be had!
Our playgroups are held on Tuesdays, Thursdays,
and Fridays, from 10:00 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. at St. Luke, Room 1 from
September to May. |
Playschool
| PSMC sponsors a wonderful playschool
for children from 3 to 5 years. It offers a happy, informal environment
where preschoolers can learn what being in school is like for an hour and
a half, once a week. There's learning to count, recognizing
letters, snack and story time, too! And always neat things
to make, see, and do! Playschool is run entirely by parent
volunteers. Generally, there is a three year old class on Thursdays
and a four year old class on Fridays. The cost is $30 a year
to cover needed materials. Children should be 3 years of age
by October 1, 2006. You must be a member of PSMC to participate in Playschool. |
Field
Trips
| PSMC offers a variety of field
trips and events for children and adults! Although there are no playgroups
or playschool over the summer, wading pool parties and field trips make
the summer fun for PSMC members! |
