Mark Lomax
Pastor
Our pastor, Father Mark
Lomax, was assigned to St. Luke June, 2006. He came to St. Luke
from St. Mark's Church in Chalmette, Louisiana, where he served
as pastor for nine years.
An avid hunter and former
Army chaplain who served in Operation Desert Shield and Operation
Desert Storm, Father Lomax was pastor of St. Genevieve Catholic
Church in Bayou Liberty nine years ago. A New Orleans native, he
was ordained in 1980. |

Rev.
Mr. Robert Binney
Deacon
He enjoys playing sports and attending sporting events. Golf is
a pastime he enjoys when time permits.
Bob, his wife Fay and their six children came to Slidell from New
Orleans in 1968. They were charter members of St. Luke Parish and
active in parish life. Bob was ordained a Deacon in 1989 and after
ministering for two years at St. Luke, he spent six years as a Chaplain
at Southeast Louisiana Hospital in Mandeville. He returned to St.
Luke in 1998. Bob also assists at the Archdiocese Tribunal and Fay
is coordinator of the St. Luke ministry to the homebound.
Rev.
Mr. Harold Burke
Deacon
Harold and his wife, Leah, are both natives
of New Orleans. They became parishioners of St. Luke, along with
their four children, in August of 1987. Leah joined the parish staff
as the Youth Minister a year later and they have continued to work
with the young people of St. Luke ever since. Harold was ordained
a Deacon on May 11, 1996 and was assigned to St. Luke Parish. After
retiring from BellSouth, Harold became Director of Liturgy in September
1998. Harold and Leah love the people of St. Luke and enjoy serving
the parish. |

Mr. Robert Trainor
Deacon
Bob is
a widower and a native of New Orleans. Before moving to Slidell,
he lived in Metairie for 33 years. All five of his children are
married and four, along with nine grandchildren, live on the Northshore.
He was
ordained a Deacon on December 21, 1991. He was assigned to St. Edward
the Confessor in Metairie for four years. He has served here at
St. Luke since 1995. Before retirement, Bob was a regional manager
for an insurance company and also a financial planner.
Bob loves
serving the Lord and His people. Bob’s favorite Scripture is Luke
12:48.
