Parents: Information about Sacrament Preparation

Students attending private elementary or high schools that offer religion classes in the school, and those students who are home schooled, must attend their church parish's religious education program for sacrament preparation.
The mandatory years for the sacraments of Reconciliation and Eucharist, as established by the Archdiocese of New Orleans, are first and second grades. Children who have not received the sacraments in second grade must enroll in a special sacrament preparation class.
For the sacrament of confirmation, it is ninth and tenth grades, with Confirmation taking place in the eleventh grade.

Please contact St. Luke's Religious Education office as soon as possible to enroll for the '07-'08 school year, 641-2570.

Interested in becoming Catholic? Want to learn more about the Catholic faith?

The RCIA program is for people who are interested in learning more about the Catholic faith for the purpose of becoming Catholic. Or, if you are an adult, baptized Catholic who missed First Eucharist, First Confession or Confirmation as a youngster, our RCIA team can assist you in preparing for these missed Sacraments so that you can take full advantage of the sacramental graces offered by God. RCIA Classes are held every Tuesday evening at 7:00pm.

If you would like more information, please contact Deacon Harold Burke (985) 641-6429.
