M.O.M.S.…Ministry of Mothers Sharing

St. Luke is trying to reactivate a ministry of small groups that seeks to create in women an awareness of the inner sacred self, while at the same time teaching new ways to inspire, encourage and affirm each other. This is an on-going ministry that begins with a series of eight structured sessions, including suggested prayer rituals and a list of resources for on-going study. A staff liaison supervises the scheduling of the sessions, the childcare ministry, and the training of leaders on the Core Team.
Objectives:
  • To gather mothers together to form a network of mutual support in a chaotic society
  • To provide a group experience of learning, praying and ministering to each other
  • To introduce mothers to opportunities of personal and spiritual growth through group dynamics
  • To increase communication skills and use of prayer rituals in daily family life
  • To increase their awareness of the community for ministry
