Confirmation Schedule
2010
The following is the full schedule for the final phase of preparation for the sacrament of Confirmation. Please mark your home calendars so that you can fulfill all of the requirements of this phase.
Saturday, August 7 Interviews In the classrooms off the Courtyard 1:30 - 3:00PM
Sunday, August 8 First general session. We will meet from 1- 6PM. We will meet in the Family Life Center. Eat before coming to the Session, snacks will be provided. Make arrangements to attend Mass.
Saturday, August 21 Second general session. 9:30AM and ending after the 4:00PM Mass We will have the Rite of Becoming a Candidate at this Mass and everyone is expected to attend. Lunch will be provided. No one will be allowed to leave during the lunch break. Snacks will also be provided. Meet in Family Life Center
Wednesday, September 8 Tour of Church 7:00PM in the Church Sponsors and/or parents must attend
Saturday, Sept. 11 – Overnight retreat at Camp Living Waters Sunday, Sept. 12 in Robert, LA. More details as the date gets closer.
For all of the Wednesday activities, Sponsors should attend. If the sponsor lives out of town, a parent is asked to fill in for the sponsor. As with all of our activities, parents are invited to participate even if the sponsor is present.
Wednesday, Sept. 15 First Scrutiny Presentation 7:00PM in the Church
Saturday, September 18 Third general session. 9:30AM – ending after the 4:00PM Mass at which time we will have the Rite of Elect. Bring lunch, snacks will be provided. No one will be allowed to leave during the lunch break. Sponsors &/or Parents should attend this mass with you since they will be asked to speak of your readiness to receive Confirmation.
Wednesday, Sept.22 Second Scrutiny Presentation 7:00 PM In the Church
Sunday, Sept. 26 Mass 9:00AM and 11:00 AM
Wednesday, September 29 Third Scrutiny Presentation 7:00 PM in the Church
Sunday, October 3 Mass 6:00PM Followed by rehearsal
TUESDAY, OCTOBER 5 CONFIRMATION WITH ARCHBISHOP ALFRED HUGHES 7:00PM
